The former governor then slammed Haley for stating Trump is “fit” to be president, despite her view that America needs to move on from all the chaos she says he brings. Christie declared that deeming Trump as fit for office is unacceptable, given his praise of dictators like Russian President Putin.
During a separate appearance on CNN, Christie also accused Haley of “enabling” the former president. In the aftermath of Trump declaring immigrants are “poisoning” America’s blood, Christie professed Haley ought to be “ashamed” for still saying he’s fit for the White House.
Haley on Trump’s 2024 campaign
Haley, to her end, claims the 2024 election isn’t a matter of whether Trump’s “fit” to be president, but is instead about whether he “should” get back in the White House. According to the former UN ambassador, the 45th president should not be president again, but was the right person for the job from 2016 to 2020.
