Democrats Cutting Their Losses in Florida

In a true sign of panic, the official called for the Biden administration to increase its engagement levels in Florida now.

Korge said if the White House puts this off until the 2024 presidential election, “stopping” DeSantis will pose an even greater and more costly challenge.

This comes amid speculation and growing dialogues about DeSantis running for president in 2024.

Another bad sign for Democrats in Florida

This year, DeSantis has an ongoing re-election campaign for a second term as Florida’s governor. Democrats Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried are running to stop DeSantis. Regardless, the numbers don’t add up for them.

For one thing, DeSantis has amassed gubernatorial funds of over $100 million. This is more than Crist and Fried’s war chests combined.

Secondly, in every single Florida poll, DeSantis dominates both Florida Democrats. There is not a single poll that has Crist or Fried ahead of DeSantis. However, Crist has chosen to use some of Fried’s anti-DeSantis tweets on his own account.
