The meeting between the Florida and Texas governors went well on Saturday. Following the meeting, DeSantis stated that what’s happening at the Southern border is a result of the Biden administration cutting down policies from the Trump era.

Governor Abbott also shared DeSantis’ outlook on the root cause of the U.S.-Mexico border problems. Last month, Abbott toured the Southern border, alongside former President Trump. The Texas governor also announced in June his plans to construct a physical barrier at the Southern border.
