POLL: Almost Nine in Ten Americans Think Biden is Too Old to Remain President

This indicates the president’s effort to rebrand his old age as an indicator of ample experience isn’t working out so well. Democratic rival Dean Phillips, for instance, repeatedly points to polls that show Biden stumbling in one-on-one matchups against Trump ahead of November.

Another survey from months ago demonstrated almost three-fourths of Americans deem Biden as too elderly for a second presidential term. Nearly five in ten said the same thing about former President Trump.

Other candidates running for the White House, such as Phillips and the GOP’s former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, also regularly cite the ages of Biden and Trump as problematic. Phillips and Haley have each stressed that America needs to turn the chapter and embrace the next generation of political leadership.
