POLL: Few Americans Want to See Trump vs. Biden 2.0 in 2024

In recent years, there have been bipartisan calls for a generational shift in political leaders. Last year, this led many Democrats to urge against former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi trying to remain in power.

Likewise, as Trump continues attacking DeSantis (amid fear of the latter running), GOP Sen. John Cornyn described the Florida governor as “new blood” the Republican Party could benefit from in the presidential election.

Time will tell which nominees are chosen to represent the Republican and Democratic Parties. As this year plays out, Americans can look forward to more insight and information.

A brutal election

Given swarming disagreements about elections in this country, 2024 is expected to be brutal, regardless of which candidates are nominated. Moreover, there are speculations that whichever side ends up losing could raise questions about the legitimacy of the election’s outcome.

For this reason, some Americans have suggested that unfounded claims or conspiracy theories about elections have reached a dangerous level. There are also warnings about societal harm when swaths of the population mistrust how a nation’s elections function.
