Nevertheless, the Transportation Secretary has some not-so-comforting updates for the American public. Buttigieg told CNN that ongoing bottlenecks and overwhelmed ports will largely continue into next year.
Later, the Transportation Secretary told CNN “off the charts” product demand and sales are responsible for supply chain problems. This explanation has not gone over well with critics of Buttigieg and the Biden administration.
Bad news for Biden
The supply chain crisis comes at a time when President Biden’s standing amongst the American people is not good. It also comes on the heels of a grim jobs report from September 2021.
The supply chain crisis could very well have a hand in Democrats losing the 2022 midterm elections. Currently, there are just too many massive problems coming from the Biden administration for Americans to simply forget; this is especially true since supply chain problems will extend beyond 2021.
Meanwhile, the president is trying to force banks to report Americans’ financial transactions that reach $600+ to the IRS. This, too, is suffering criticism from the American public. It’s something Americans are describing as intrusive privacy violations.
