A Texas technology entrepreneur, his wife, their two young children and several close companions were among nine people killed when a private jet plunged into a Florida neighborhood, turning what began as a charter flight from Austin to the Bahamas into a devastating tragedy.

Adam Robinson, 44, and his wife, Helen Sharp, were aboard the approximately $2 million Learjet 60 when it crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing everyone on board. Family members confirmed their deaths, according to reports.

The other victims included the couple's children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2; their friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr; and their nanny, Anita Maria Apellido Cetina. All nine passengers and crew members died in the crash.

Robinson, who lived in Austin, was a technology entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of software companies Retention.com and RB2B. Before building his businesses, he worked at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Families Pay Tribute to Victims of the Crash

In a joint statement shared online by relative Anthony Robinson, the Robinson, Fehr and Cetina families remembered the victims and described the close bonds that connected them.

The statement paid particular tribute to Adam and Helen as devoted parents, describing their young children as the center of their world.

“Adam and Helen were devoted parents, and Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were the light of their lives. Helen and Adam were the love affair that will last forever,” the families wrote.

The tribute also remembered Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr for their enthusiasm for life and their deep affection for the people around them.

“Charmi and Rachel were full of joy and adventure. They loved their people fiercely, fully and without hesitation,” the statement continued.

The families reserved especially tender words for Cetina, who cared for the couple's children and had become much more than an employee in their household.

“Anita Maria cared for Emma and Charlie with tenderness and devotion, and she was truly part of the family. She showed us a legacy of unconditional love and devotion,” they said.

Helen Sharp Shared Her Artistic Work and Family Life

Beyond the tragedy, Helen was known for her creative interests and her work as a ceramics artist. She regularly posted videos showcasing her pottery and artistic creations on Instagram, offering followers a glimpse into her work.

Her social media presence also featured photographs of the couple's young children, including family moments that reflected the life they had built together.

The loss of the family and their companions has left relatives remembering not only the nine people killed in the crash, but also the relationships, shared experiences and everyday moments that connected them.

As the identities of those aboard the aircraft emerged, the tragedy became more than a report of a fatal aviation accident. It revealed the devastating loss of an entire family circle, including two very young children, friends and a caregiver who was regarded as one of their own.
