Under Alabama’s law, possession exceeding 42.5 grams triggers a $3.50-per-gram tax, with stamps bearing anti-drug messages such as “Say no.”

Bond was set at $5,000, and Holloway was released later that same morning after posting bail, according to police.

Holloway’s rise had been swift. A five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American Game selection in 2023, he transferred from Auburn University to Alabama in April 2024 to take on the role of point guard.
