The thrilling announcement detailed their €9.4 million ($10 million) venture to secure an 85% stake in the coveted Financial Transaction Services BV, known to many as Cobase.

The Deal's Intricate Web

Alpha, with its majestic headquarters gracing London, also revealed a suspenseful twist: it intends to buy the remaining 15% stake in Cobase, but this acquisition hinges on the latter's performance from 2025 to 2028. Currently, this masterstroke awaits the green signal from De Nederlandsche Bank, the guardians of the Dutch financial realm.

With a reputation for its cutting-edge payment technology facilitating seamless bank transactions, Cobase plans to stand its ground. The brand will flourish under its original banner, backed by its dedicated squadron.

For Alpha, a maestro in catering to global giants with their foreign exchange risk management and expansive payment systems, this alliance is anticipated to be a magnet for customers craving streamlined bank connectivity. Cobase, in return, stands to gain invaluable insights from Alpha's globally acclaimed sales cavalry.

The regulatory dispatch to the London Stock Exchange sang praises of the synergy, noting the two empires as being "highly complementary with one another."

Morgan Tillbrook, the visionary behind Alpha, showered accolades upon Cobase. Drawing attention to Alpha's discernment in investments, he proclaimed, "The fact that after more than six years as a public company and after considering numerous acquisition opportunities, this is our first investment of this kind is ultimately a testament to the company that Cobase have built."

Founded in 2017, Cobase boasts a presence spanning over 80 nations, and its clout is evident with a global clientele of more than 100 groups. Alpha, not to be overshadowed, flaunts engagements across 50 countries and a battalion of over 350 employees. Their strength is fortified by industry titans like J.P. Morgan.

As the curtain fell on Tuesday, Alpha's shares, showcased on the LSE's junior Alternative Investment Market, clocked in at a staggering 2,120 pence.
