Washington is about to become the center of the UFO disclosure fight again.

On Tuesday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m., David Grusch, James Fox, Leslie Kean, bipartisan lawmakers, whistleblowers, journalists, and filmmakers are expected to gather on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to demand the release of UFO and UAP-related files. The event is being framed as a direct call for declassification, stronger whistleblower protections, and passage of disclosure-related legislation. 

Grusch, the former intelligence officer who previously testified under oath before Congress, is expected to discuss non-human intelligence-related evidence he says he encountered through classified channels. According to the event announcement, Grusch will argue that such records should be reviewed and released publicly, subject to legitimate national security protections. 

The gathering will reportedly include Rep. Eric Burlison, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, and Rep. Tim Burchett, with Leslie Kean and filmmaker James Fox hosting the event. 

The legal significance is enormous. If these files exist, the question is no longer whether the public is curious. The question is whether classified programs, intelligence gatekeepers, or private contractors have operated beyond meaningful congressional oversight.

That is why this moment matters. Grusch’s claims already moved the UAP issue from internet speculation into sworn congressional testimony. Tuesday’s Capitol event appears designed to push the next step: documents, records, files, names, programs, and accountability.

The central issue is simple: national security can justify secrecy, but it cannot become a permanent shield for unlawful concealment, misappropriated taxpayer funds, or obstruction of Congress.
