Women undergoing postpartum depression may find themselves struggling with fatigue, crying episodes, loss of energy, panic attacks, and even fluctuations in their weight.

For quite some time, the severity of postpartum depression and its negative impacts on women’s physical and mental health often went unnoticed or lacked the necessary awareness. Thankfully, recent years have seen more attention directed toward this matter.

In yet another encouraging sign, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just greenlit a pill designed to help women who face postpartum depression.

What to know about Zuranolone

Zuranolone is a medication to be congested orally by mothers who find themselves facing postpartum depression. Because of this illness’ severity, it can threaten the lives of struggling women, while creating friction in their homes and families.

According to the FDA, Zuranolone comes with some side effects that women should weigh before consumption. For instance, this anti-postpartum depression pill may cause problems with driving, or other activities requiring similar levels of energy, shortly after ingestion.
