The Conflict Over Student Privacy and FERPA

Furthermore, parents possess the right to request amendments to these records and maintain control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information.

In June, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach formally urged the federal government to investigate these four Kansas school districts. He cited concerns regarding what he characterized as illegal social transition policies related to gender identity and discrimination.
