Bugcrowd

Bugcrowd, a leader in crowdsourced security, has announced a partnership with Google to become the official bounty payment platform for Google’s Bug Hunting Community. This collaboration aims to streamline and expedite the payment process for security researchers who uncover vulnerabilities on Google's platforms.

Google's decision to select Bugcrowd as its payment provider is driven by the platform's reputation for making fast and reliable payments to security researchers worldwide. Bugcrowd’s robust infrastructure ensures that individuals in the Bug Bounty Program receive their rewards promptly, allowing them to focus on identifying and reporting security vulnerabilities without delay.

Simple Registration Process

Existing Google-registered bug hunters can easily transition to using Bugcrowd by registering on Bugcrowd’s website and updating their payment preferences on their Google bug hunter profile. Many bug hunters are already part of Bugcrowd's extensive network and may not need to take any additional steps.

Enhanced Reward System for Bug Hunters

Jan Keller, Technical Program Manager at Google, emphasized the benefits of this partnership: “Bugcrowd’s platform has significantly improved the way we reward our bug hunter community. With faster payments and diverse payout options, our bug hunters can focus on what matters most: uncovering vulnerabilities and making the Internet a safer place for everyone.”

Dave Gerry, CEO of Bugcrowd, highlighted the company's mission to empower the global cybersecurity community: “Teaming up with Google to provide payment options for their bug hunters is a testament to our commitment to streamlining the bug bounty experience and our ability to scale quickly. We’re proud to offer our platform as a solution that not only enhances efficiency but also ensures that talented hackers are rewarded promptly for their invaluable contributions to security.”

The Bugcrowd Platform connects organizations with trusted security researchers to proactively defend against sophisticated threats. This crowdsourced approach leverages the collective ingenuity of the hacking community to uncover and mitigate risks across various applications, systems, and infrastructure. Bugcrowd offers a range of solutions, including penetration testing as a service, managed bug bounties, and vulnerability disclosure programs (VDPs).
