Grubhub is a very popular food delivery service that operates in 25 countries. With a rise in people working from home, spending long hours at the office, and not always having ample time to cook, more folks are regularly having takeout delivered to their doorsteps.

UberEats, DoorDash, and Postmates are other food delivery apps that have seen a rise in service within recent years. They also offer economic opportunities to people who are willing to deliver meals as a means of earning extra income.

In the case of Grubhub, it's going the extra mile to get more active subscribers. Grubhub's new partnership with Amazon Prime assures that anyone who signs up for the latter automatically receives the former as well.

What to know about Grubhub and Amazon Prime

Earlier this week, Grubhub and Amazon announced that individuals who sign up for Prime accounts will also get on-the-house subscriptions to Grubhub. This offer comes with free delivery on restaurant orders higher than $12, plus 5% credits on pick-up orders and lowered service fees.

New Prime members will also have the luxury of accessing Grubhub via the Amazon shopping app and website. This will organically streamline added conveniences for Prime customers, per Jamil Ghani, the vice president of Amazon Prime.

Grubhub correspondingly released a similar statement, emphasizing the benefits that customers will get from this collaboration. Howard Migdal, the CEO of the food delivery service, explained its partnership with Amazon will ultimately lead to more convenience for fans of both Prime and Grubhub.

Discounts all around

People who sign up for Amazon Prime will not only get access to Grubhub for reduced rates. They'll also spend significantly less money on Amazon store purchases, along with ad-free access to Amazon Music, Prime gaming benefits, limitless image storage via Amazon Photos, and more.

People who find themselves regularly ordering takeout will greatly benefit from the partnership between Grubhub and Prime, especially with how quickly delivery and service fees add up.

Grubhub's perks that come with Amazon Prime offer valuable opportunities for food deliveries to eat up significantly less money than they would through other services like UberEats, Postmates, DoorDash, etc.
