Popular children’s YouTuber Daniel Coleman, known to millions as Danny Go!, has shared the devastating news that his 14-year-old son Isaac has passed away, just five months after being diagnosed with cancer.

In an emotional Instagram post on Friday, Coleman poured out his grief, writing:

“There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”

Isaac Daniel Coleman died on Thursday. He was born with Fanconi anemia, a rare genetic disorder that severely impairs the body’s ability to repair DNA and dramatically increases the risk of cancer and bone marrow failure. Before turning 11, Isaac had already undergone kidney and bone marrow transplants.

In December, Coleman revealed Isaac had been diagnosed with aggressive mouth cancer. He underwent an eight-hour surgery to remove the tumor, but by February the cancer had reached stage 3. Despite the family’s relentless fight, the disease continued spreading rapidly.

Last month, Coleman shared that Isaac had entered hospice care, focusing on comfort and making his remaining days as peaceful and joyful as possible.

Isaac’s passing is an unimaginable tragedy for the Coleman family. Born prematurely at just over three pounds, Isaac faced numerous health battles from the very beginning — multiple surgeries, transplants, and a lifelong fight against a cruel disease. Yet through it all, according to his father, he maintained a remarkable spark and joy that inspired everyone around him.

Daniel Coleman built the Danny Go! YouTube channel into a beloved platform that gets millions of children dancing, moving, and learning. He often used his influence to raise awareness for organ donation and bone marrow registries — causes that were deeply personal to his family.

Now, the internet personality who brought so much light and energy to children worldwide is mourning the loss of his own son. Coleman and his wife Mindy are also parents to 10-year-old Levi.

Isaac’s short life was filled with extraordinary challenges, but also extraordinary resilience. His father’s tribute captured it perfectly: “Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit… and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all.”
