CALIFORNIA - When USA Herald reported in May that several Christian ministers were saying they had been warned to prepare their congregations for UAP disclosure, the central question was whether something extraordinary was approaching.

Four months later, something unquestionably has changed.

The United States government has now released six tranches of UAP material through its Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, or PURSUE. On Friday, September 18, the Pentagon released its sixth and arguably one of its most provocative batches yet.

But there is an important distinction.

The new files establish that the government investigated extraordinary aerospace concepts and continues releasing unresolved UAP material. They do not establish, beyond a reasonable doubt, that extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth, that recovered spacecraft are extraterrestrial, or that the more dramatic claims originally attributed to private pastor briefings are true.

That distinction may now be the most important part of the story.

The sixth tranche of government UAP materials contains 71 files — 55 PDFs, 15 videos and one audio recording — covering records dating from 1952 through 2025. Sixty-seven came from the Defense Department and four from Colorado law enforcement. Most contain some level of redactions.

Among the most striking records are 37 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents produced through the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program, or AAWSAP.

Their subjects sound less like conventional military research and more like science fiction: warp drives, traversable wormholes, antigravity, negative mass propulsion, invisibility and other advanced concepts.

One particularly unusual study examined alleged injuries associated with anomalous aerospace encounters. Another newly released incident report describes six small spherical objects over the Middle East that appeared lively and repeatedly changed direction. The incident remains unexplained.

The historical material is equally interesting. A 1952 recording of Air Force officer Edward Ruppelt — who would lead Project Blue Book — describes roughly 20 percent of hundreds of UFO reports then investigated as sufficiently credible that investigators could reach no conclusion.

Pastor Perry Stone Warned Christians Before the Releases Accelerated

That brings USA Herald back to evangelist-pastor, Perry Stone.

Our May report examined Stone's account that pastors had been told to prepare Christians for coming UAP disclosures. Stone described concerns that extraordinary claims about unknown craft, non-human entities and materials could shake people's understanding of Scripture.

Stone has not abandoned the subject.

In July, his official YouTube channel published a video titled “Beware of Government Reports About to Be Released,” specifically tagged with UFO, aliens, prophecy and disclosure. Days later, Stone published “Is There Life in Other Galaxies?”

More recently, his ministry has also featured a discussion with preacher Shane Warren concerning life in other galaxies and the alleged UFO meetings.

Stone's public framing asks Christians not merely whether unusual phenomena exist, but how claims about their origin should be interpreted within a biblical worldview.

Has Disclosure Hurt Religion Yet?

So far, there is little evidence of the widespread religious collapse sometimes imagined in discussions about extraterrestrial disclosure.

In fact, previous research suggests the opposite.

Research examining Protestant, Catholic and Jewish clergy found little support for the prediction that extraterrestrial disclosure would trigger a major religious crisis. Other research surveying believers across Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and other traditions similarly found that most religious respondents believed their faith could accommodate extraterrestrial intelligence.

NASA itself has publicly hosted serious discussion about astrobiology and theology, acknowledging that discoveries concerning life elsewhere in the universe naturally raise questions about faith, humanity and humanity's place within creation.

But those are theological questions, not necessarily theological catastrophes.

The Pentagon has not released a document saying aliens exist.

It has released records showing that the government has spent considerable time examining phenomena, reports and theoretical technologies that once existed largely outside respectable public conversation.

Four Months Later, Where Are We?

When USA Herald published its May report, the pastor claims were extraordinary and the promised government disclosures were largely still ahead.

Today, the balance has shifted.

The claim of an officially sanctioned pastor briefing remains contested and unverified. Yet the government disclosure machinery itself is unquestionably operating, at least to a small degree.

Six tranches have been released.

New UAP videos are public.

Historical investigations are being exposed.

Previously classified or restricted records concerning extraordinary aerospace concepts are being placed before the American public.

And on September 14, the Pentagon announced a legal waiver intended to permit current and former personnel previously constrained by nondisclosure agreements to provide UAP-related information to the government — potentially opening another channel for information to emerge.

For Christians watching these developments, Perry Stone's fundamental question therefore remains relevant even if some of the claims surrounding the alleged pastor briefing remain unverified:

What happens to faith if humanity someday learns that it is not alone?

The evidence released thus far does not require anyone to answer that question.

But Washington is releasing enough information that churches, theologians, scientists and ordinary Americans are increasingly willing to ask it.

And perhaps that is the biggest change since May.

UAP disclosure has not yet delivered proof of extraterrestrial intelligence.

It has, however, moved the conversation from whether the government has investigated extraordinary phenomena to what decades of government investigation actually found — and what humanity will do if one day the unexplained becomes explained.
