Election Day is less than 100 days away. With President Biden out of the race and Vice President Harris now the presumptive Democratic nominee, Americans have been spared from the 2020 rematch that polls showed few people wanted.

With every passing day, inquiring minds are eager to ascertain if Harris will end up debating former President Trump. The 45th president debated then-candidate Biden last month. However, after Biden passed the baton to Harris and bowed out, questions arose about the possibility of a Harris vs. Trump debate.

The vice president has maintained that she's more than eager to face off against the former president. During a rally in Atlanta, Georgia tonight, Harris took things one step further.

A clear message to the former president

Joining a crowd of reportedly over 10,000 people, Harris made it plain that she's eager to get on a debate stage with Trump. Since Biden announced his removal from this year's White House race, Republicans have been forced to shift campaign strategies.

This week, leaked audio of GOP vice presidential nominee J. D. Vance describing Harris' entry into the race as a "sucker punch" for Republicans quickly began making the rounds online.

Flanked by supporters earlier this evening, the vice president first noted that Trump and Vance appear to have a lot to say about her. Harris then declared Trump should "say it to [her] face" on a debate stage.

Thus far, the former president has not yet confirmed he'll do a one-on-one debate against the presumptive Democratic nominee.

Harris, during her time in Atlanta, let supporters know that as a former prosecutor who targeted sex abusers, cheats, and other unscrupulous characters, she "knows Trump's type."

September 10

Tuesday, September 10 is the scheduled date for the next White House debate. Days before tonight's Georgia rally, the vice president announced she'd attend the event, regardless of whether Trump shows up.

On social media, Harris' supporters are praising her for challenging the former president to a one-on-one showdown. They've also speculated that in a debate against Trump, the vice president would ultimately prevail.

During the 2020 presidential election, Harris famously faced off against Trump's then-running mate Mike Pence.
