The vice president's sitdown with Cooper comes as her campaign is kicking off a media blitz. With exactly 30 days remaining until November 5, the clock is ticking for Harris to make her case to the American people.

During the 45-minute interview, Cooper and Harris discussed a litany of issues, ranging from abortion to the progression of women's rights throughout history, and comments made by Republicans about women without children.

Harris also laid out her economic plans for the country. Among them are implementing a $6,000 tax cut for new parents and increasing the national housing supply via tax incentives for home builders to create three million more residential accommodations.

Today's Call Her Daddy episode focused on Harris' personal background as well. During this segment, the vice president discussed how the effort to combat sexual abuse inspired her decision to become a US prosecutor.

She then let viewers and listeners know about her upbringing. Call Her Daddy fans learned today that Harris' mother always told her to remember the power of individual agency and not allow things to "just happen" to her.

Pushing back on talking points from Trump

Before her time on Call Her Daddy wrapped up, the vice president countered Trump's claim that "post-birth abortions" are happening in America.

Slamming this as a "bold-faced lie," Harris stated nowhere across the United States are women waiting until the ninth month to terminate their pregnancies. In all 50 states, "post-birth abortions" are legally recognized as murder, which is unlawful.

Trump's promise to be the "protector" of women came up, too, garnering considerable criticism from the vice president.

While speaking with Cooper, Harris reminded her audience that the former president once called for women who receive abortions to be punished. She also slammed the former president for handpicking Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade.

Harris, throughout the 2024 election, has promised that should she become the next commander-in-chief, she'll sign legislation that codifies Roe v. Wade into law.
