Laken Riley murdered on campus
In February Riley vanished from campus during a routine jog. And her roommate reported her missing.
Riley’s body was discovered on the campus of Augusta University, lying in the woods behind Lake Herrick.
The UGA Police Department issued a statement detailing the grisly scene: Riley was found unconscious, bearing visible injuries, and tragically, she had succumbed to blunt force trauma to the head, according to Sonny Wilson, the coroner at the Athens-Clarke County Coroner’s Office and Morgue.
