A wave of coordinated demonstrations is set to sweep across the United States this weekend, as No Kings protests planned for Saturday signal mounting resistance to President Donald Trump’s policies. Like sparks catching across dry ground, more than 3,000 events are expected to ignite on March 28, marking the third nationwide mobilization since Trump’s return to office in January 2025.

Coast-to-Coast Rallies Take Shape

From major metropolitan hubs to small-town squares, organizers are bracing for a broad turnout. The flagship gathering will take place in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving as the symbolic center of a movement that has rapidly expanded in scale and intensity.

Behind the effort is Indivisible, a grassroots group that has helped coordinate the protests. Its cofounder, Leah Greenberg, said the demonstrations reflect growing public frustration over a range of issues.

Immigration and War Fuel Public Anger

According to Greenberg, outrage is particularly focused on the actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as the ongoing war with Iran. She described a groundswell of concern from Americans troubled by both domestic and international policies.

“We’re hearing from a huge number of people who are horrified,” Greenberg said, pointing to the human and economic toll of the conflict. She added that many believe government spending on war efforts is diverting resources from critical needs such as health care and education.

The protests, she explained, are not just expressions of dissent but also an attempt to forge lasting connections among participants—turning outrage into sustained civic engagement.

White House Dismisses Movement

The administration, however, has brushed aside the demonstrations. When asked earlier in the week about the protests, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson offered a sharply critical response.

“The only people who care about these Trump Derangement Therapy Sessions are the reporters who are paid to cover them,” Jackson said, underscoring the administration’s dismissive stance.

As Saturday approaches, the country appears poised at a moment of heightened political tension. What unfolds could resemble a chorus of discontent echoing from thousands of corners—or a fleeting ripple in an already turbulent political landscape.
