The actress-turned-entrepreneur alongside her media company Hello Sunshine has been attempting to sell female-led NFT collections such as the World of Women and the future digital world. Witherspoon said “In the (near) future, every person will have a parallel digital identity. Avatars, crypto wallets, digital goods will be the norm. Are you planning for this?”

Witherspoon likes to describe the metaverse; a digital space where people can interact using digital avatars of themselves. Decentraland and the Sandbox are the best examples of this kind of Metaverses.

In 2021, land sales reached a record high with digital parcels of land sold for millions of dollars. Several events were held in the digital worlds such as Fashion Week and even concerts. Witherspoon’s adoption of non-fungible tokens was exteriorized through her Twitter profile. The actor added an NFT from the Flower Girls and World of Women collections. The latter is a female-led collection recently signed Guy Oseary, the music executive representing the wildly popular Bored Apes Yacht Club, to promote the project across other media like film and video games, Decrypt reported previously.
