Savannah Guthrie, co-host of NBC’s Today show, along with her siblings Camron and Annie Guthrie, have released a heartfelt video urging anyone with information about their mother, Nancy Guthrie, to come forward. Authorities believe Nancy was abducted from her Tucson home over the weekend.

In the video, the Guthrie family addressed reports of an alleged ransom note and emphasized that they are willing to communicate with the person holding Nancy, but need proof that she is safe. “We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us,” Savannah said.

Family Describes Nancy Guthrie’s Character

The siblings painted a vivid picture of their mother, highlighting her strength, love, and resilience. Savannah described Nancy as a woman full of kindness, humor, and devotion to her family. “She is our heart and our home,” she said. Annie added, “Mom holds fast to joy even through life’s trials. She is our guiding light.”

The family also stressed Nancy’s age and health concerns. Savannah noted, “She is 84, living with constant pain, and without her essential medication. She needs care to survive and not suffer.”

Direct messages to Nancy were also shared in the video:

• Savannah: “Mommy, if you can hear this, know that we will not rest until we are together again.”

• Annie: “Mama, we need you to come home. We miss you.”

• Camron: “Stay strong, mom. We love you.”

Timeline of Disappearance and Investigation

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing Sunday after she failed to attend church and could not be found at her home. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Nancy had dinner at Annie Guthrie’s house on Saturday night and was driven home afterward.

A local news station reportedly received a ransom note Monday, containing specific details about Nancy’s home and what she was wearing the night she disappeared. Authorities have not verified its authenticity but are investigating thoroughly.

Law enforcement officials have not identified any suspects. “It could be one person, it could be more,” Sheriff Nanos said. Small amounts of blood were discovered both inside the home and near the front door, and forensic testing is underway.

Federal Support and Public Attention

The FBI has deployed additional personnel to assist local investigators. Former President Donald Trump posted on social media that he has spoken with Savannah Guthrie and directed all federal law enforcement to assist the family. “We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely,” Trump wrote, adding that the nation’s prayers are with Nancy and her family.

Public Appeal and Next Steps

The Guthrie family’s emotional video has drawn national attention, emphasizing the urgency of locating Nancy and ensuring her safe return. Authorities continue to investigate leads, review evidence, and work with the public to gather any information that could help resolve the case.
