Tom DeLonge’s UFO Research Back In Focus As Trump’s Disclosure Directive Gains Momentum

By Samuel López | USA Herald - There was a time when talk of UFOs lived on the fringe—late-night radio, conspiracy forums, and grainy footage dismissed as fiction. That time is over. What is unfolding now, in plain view, is something far more serious: a convergence of government acknowledgment, classified data leaks, and a former rock musician who may have been closer to the truth than anyone initially realized.

At the center of that shift is Tom DeLonge, best known as a founding member of Blink-182, but now operating in a very different arena. Through his company, To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, DeLonge has spent years building relationships with high-level government insiders, defense officials, and intelligence operatives—individuals with direct knowledge of what the U.S. government now calls Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, or UAP.

What once sounded like an unlikely pivot—from punk rock to Pentagon-adjacent disclosure—now demands a second look. Because much of what DeLonge has said, written, and published is no longer theoretical. It is being echoed, in part, by the federal government itself.

DeLonge’s nonfiction work, particularly Sekret Machines: Gods, presents a narrative that blends documented accounts, insider testimony, and historical analysis. The book does not read like speculative fiction. It reads like a curated briefing—one that suggests the U.S. government, along with other global powers, has long possessed advanced knowledge of non-human intelligence and technology operating within Earth’s atmosphere.

Critics initially dismissed these claims as embellished storytelling. But the landscape shifted dramatically following the Pentagon UFO video release 2017, when the Department of Defense confirmed the authenticity of leaked Navy pilot footage showing unidentified craft performing maneuvers beyond known human capability. Those videos — “FLIR1,” “Gimbal,” and “GoFast”—were not fringe artifacts. They were verified military encounters.

What ties DeLonge to that moment is not coincidence. His company played a role in bringing those videos to public attention, working alongside former intelligence officials who had direct access to classified materials. Among them were individuals formerly embedded within the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), a once-secret initiative tasked with investigating UAP encounters.

From a legal and evidentiary standpoint, the implications are significant. When government agencies authenticate footage and acknowledge ongoing investigations into unidentified craft, the burden shifts. The question is no longer whether something unexplained exists—it is what the government knows, when it knew it, and why that information remained concealed for decades.

This is where the conversation intersects with the policies and posture of President, Donald Trump. During his presidency, Trump has made multiple remarks suggesting awareness of classified UFO briefings. While often delivered in a casual tone, his statements hint at underlying intelligence that has not yet been fully disclosed to the public. More importantly, his first administration oversaw the formal establishment of the UAP Task Force, later evolving into the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), signaling a structural shift toward official investigation and reporting.

Whether by design or coincidence, the timeline aligns with DeLonge’s public efforts. His work predates these disclosures, yet tracks closely with their emergence. That raises a question that deserves serious consideration: was DeLonge simply ahead of the curve, or was he part of a controlled, incremental release of information—a soft disclosure strategy designed to acclimate the public to a reality long held behind classified walls?

The answer is not yet clear. But the pattern is difficult to ignore.

From a national security perspective, the existence of advanced aerial technology—operating without identifiable propulsion systems, exhibiting instantaneous acceleration, and demonstrating capabilities that defy current aerospace engineering—presents a profound challenge. If these craft are not of U.S. origin, then they represent a technological gap with potential adversaries or something entirely outside the framework of human geopolitics.

DeLonge’s work suggests the latter. His sources, many of whom held positions within defense and intelligence agencies, have described encounters and data sets that point toward non-human intelligence. These are not casual claims. They are assertions that, if substantiated, would redefine humanity’s understanding of its place in the universe.

As a journalist and legal analyst, I approach this subject the same way I would any complex case: by examining the evidence, identifying corroboration, and tracking the evolution of official statements. What we are seeing now is not random. It is a slow, methodical shift from denial to acknowledgment.

The government is no longer dismissing UFOs. It is studying them.

And Tom DeLonge, once viewed as an outsider, now appears to have been operating closer to the center of that truth than anyone realized.

If there is a coordinated disclosure effort underway—whether initiated during the Trump administration or continuing beyond it—then the public is only seeing the outer edges of a much larger body of information. The real question is not whether disclosure is happening. It is how much has already been disclosed without the public fully recognizing it.

Because if DeLonge’s accounts are even partially accurate, then what lies ahead is not just revelation—it is a reckoning.
