
Congressional Republicans have issued an outpouring of support for President Donald Trump and First LadyMelania- from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to House Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA).
Before 1:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, it was revealed that the President and the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19 and would be placing themselves under quarantine immediately.
McConnell said he was pleased to hear that POTUS and FLOTUS were feeling well despite the diagnosis.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also offered well-wishes in a tweet, saying “Heidi & I are praying for a full and swift recovery” for both.

In addition, Rep. Scalise said he was praying “for a swift recovery” and that “They’re fighters, and will beat this together.”

The news followed earlier revelations that senior White House advisor Hope Hicks had tested positive for the coronavirus late Wednesday after traveling to Wisconsin on Air Force One with POTUS and FLOTUS.
Trump to stay at Walter Reed Medical Center for a few days
In a Friday statement, the White House announced President Trump would be spending “a few days” at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a precautionary measure, even though Trump is reportedly experiencing mild symptoms.
