“We conclude that the original judgment for the plaintiffs should be reinstated,” the court wrote, underscoring that its decision follows the “plain import” of the high court’s ruling.

Attorney Kent Yalowitz said his clients were deeply relieved.

“They have been waiting for a very long time for justice to be done,” he said in a statement, noting that the court reinstated the judgment without requiring a new trial.
