With a country in need of healing, and two sides longing to be heard, Biden was portrayed as a President of All Americans. These moves and behaviors could deepen the dangerous divide and solidify the far right’s belief that progressive liberals used Biden and Harris as a front.
Beyond President Biden leading with the pen instead of solid policy, Speaker Pelosi, known progressive, is also engaging in highly divisive rhetoric and freely stating Friday, that her Republican counterparts aren’t “thinking. Or maybe thinking is too generous a term.”
This dismissive and volatile speech is exactly what all constituents were seeking to avoid in electing President Biden. The expected change is just more of the same, except that we are now swinging the pendulum drastically to the other side.
