Cory Booker Slams Joe Biden: “We Can Do More” than Joe!

As the 2020 presidential election gets more and more intense, candidates in the race are eager to get ahead. In many cases, this means going after contenders with higher poll numbers; getting ahead also demands purposefully distinguishing oneself in a notable field of competitors.

The latest example of this dynamic comes from 2020 presidential candidate Cory Booker. During a speaking event before the Iowa AFL-CIO audience, Booker did not directly name Biden, but his remarks were politically transparent.

Booker slammed the idea of nominating a “safe bet” candidate 48 hours after Jill Biden urged voters to “swallow a little bit” and vote for her husband, even if they view him as weak on policy matters.

Reviewing Booker’s Message to the Democrat Party

In essence, Booker presented the case that Democrats deserve more than settling, simply for fear of losing to President Trump yet again. His statements mark a stark contrast to Jill Biden who argued that her husband is the most electable candidate; she proudly made this claim, even going as far as to allege that other candidate’s ‘better’ stances on the issues are less important than beating Trump.
