General Motors says it is on track to receive about $500 million in tariff refunds after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the legal authority behind certain import duties, a reversal that is now reshaping corporate balance sheets across American industry.

The automaker disclosed the expected refund Monday while reporting its first-quarter results, also lifting its full-year profit outlook by the same amount.
