When authorities arrived, they discovered a female driver suffering from what they described as “an apparent gunshot wound.” The victim was later identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner as 34-year-old Bianca Huntley.

The medical examiner confirmed Huntley died from a gunshot wound involving her left arm and torso. Her death has been officially ruled a homicide.

“She was my baby…” her mother, Gloria Allen, told WXIA. “You're talking about a light, a shining light that got snuffed out.”

Huntley, a mother of two daughters ages 14 and 5, had moved to Atlanta from North Carolina about nine years ago. She was building a life marked by ambition and progress, working as a quality manager and recently earning a promotion.

“She had just gotten a promotion,” Allen said. “She was in the process of hiring a team when her life was tragically ended.”

According to her mother, Huntley was simply on her way home from work when violence intersected her path.

Family Seeks Justice

Allen believes her daughter may have been deliberately targeted, though investigators have not confirmed a motive or identified suspects.

Balancing grief with faith, she expressed a quiet resolve.

“I’m a woman of faith. Vengeance belongs to God, but my daughter will be vindicated,” she said.
