On Wednesday, Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre took the stage at a campaign rally for former President Donald Trump in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Trump entered the event in a Trump-themed garbage truck, dressed in a worker's safety vest. 

Using football metaphors, Favre compared Trump to Vice President Kamala Harris, stating, "We’ve already had President Trump once — we’ve already seen Kamala in action. We can compare, and we know which is better." 

He added, "It would be insane to give Kamala four more years in office. So, it’s time to bench Kamala and put in the star quarterback."

Favre likened Trump to the Green Bay Packers, saying Trump, "much like the Packer organization… is a winner."

 He shared concerns about "People losing hope in the American dream," and pointed to serious issues, including "50 fentanyl overdoses in Brown County" last year, as well as the younger generation "face the prospect of World War III."

The “Garbage Truck” Controversy
Trump’s choice of vehicle brought attention to remarks made by President Joe Biden, who had reportedly referred to some Trump supporters as "garbage." 

En route to the event in the truck, Trump waved to supporters, joking, “How do you like my garbage truck? This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.” 

Favre responded to Biden’s comments, saying, "I can assure you we’re not garbage. How dare he say that? I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. I see every-day Americans that make this country great."

Favre’s Diagnosis
The former Green Bay Packers quarterback, who recently disclosed his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. also discussed his iconic NFL career. 

Appearing before Congress to testify on welfare reform, Favre expressed that the upcoming election is crucial, stating, "There’s never been a more important time in our lives than right now in this election."
