More than 80 women accused the disgraced movie producer of sexual misconduct. The NYPD and Manhattan District Attorney’s Office conducted a joint investigation into the allegations against him for over seven months.

In a statement, the NYPD said the disgraced movie producer turned himself in at NYPD’s 1st Precint.

“Harvey Weinstein was arrested, processed and charged with Rape, Criminal Sex Act, Sex Abuse and Sexual Misconduct for incidents involving two separate women,” according to the NYPD.

On the other hand, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., said, “Today’s charges reflect significant progress in this active, ongoing investigation.I thank the brave survivors who have come forward, and my Office’s prosecutors who have worked tirelessly on this investigation.”

In court, the judge set a $10 million bond or $1 million cash for Harvey Weinstein. The fallen movie producer relinquished his passport. He will wear a GPS monitoring system and can only travel between New York and Connecticut.

During a press conference, Ben Braffman, the lawyer representing Harvey Weistein, said his client will enter a not guilty plea. They believe that the charges are “constitutionally flawed” and not supported by facts. They intend to move quickly to dismiss the charges.
