Earlier today, former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz drew an equivalency between the behaviors of President Trump and Democrats.
The potential independent presidential candidate maintains that both sides are promoting false narratives; this comes according to Fox News.
Reviewing Schultz’s Statements
During an interview with Fox News, the 65-year-old billionaire sat down with Fox News. During this time, Schultz shared his thoughts on Democrats, President Trump, and his perceived equivalency between both sides.
“If I ran as a Democrat, which I would not do, I would have to be disingenuous given the platform that they are moving towards. [This] is a level of health care government takeover, of free college for everyone, a job for everyone which tallies about 40-trillion dollars.”
Schultz then stated that the most ambitious progressive reforms are unrealistic prior to censuring the president:
“It’s just not realistic. So we need a thoughtful serious conversation. And the Democrats are really creating a false narrative in the same way that President Trump created a false narrative by saying the Mexicans were going to pay for the wall. It’s not truthful.”
