Messi spent time with his father in the aftermath of the World Cup before rejoining Inter Miami, returning to the field for the club a week ago. The team is scheduled to host Monterrey Saturday in the 2026 Leagues Cup, but Inter Miami has not yet said whether Messi will take part.
