The long-running legal conflict surrounding It Ends With Us has officially come to a close, as Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni settled just days before their case was scheduled to go to trial. The dispute, tied to the 2024 film It Ends With Us, had drawn widespread attention across Hollywood and beyond.

Settlement is a “Victory”

Lively’s legal team characterized the agreement as a decisive win for the actress. Attorneys Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson issued a statement describing the outcome as a “resounding victory,” emphasizing that the defendants waived their right to appeal as part of the settlement.

“By agreeing to this settlement… defendants now face personal liability for abusing the legal system to silence and intimidate Ms. Lively,” the attorneys said.

They further stated that the resolution effectively ends what they described as false claims that Lively fabricated allegations of misconduct.

The legal battle began in December 2024, when Lively accused Baldoni—her co-star and director—of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her after she raised concerns during production. Baldoni denied all allegations.

The case evolved significantly over time. Several of Lively’s initial claims, including sexual harassment, defamation, and conspiracy, were dismissed by a judge in April. However, other claims remained active, including:
