Kanye West Dropped by Numerous Brands

In the midst of his current episode, Kanye West unleashed an anti-semitic tweet that was quickly taken down. In this tweet, Kanye said, “death con 3 on Jewish people.” This came just shortly after West appeared at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a “White Lives Matter” shirt. These are just the latest of Kanye’s stunts, as his far-right ideology has clearly taken ahold of his life. Earlier this week, West appeared on a Podcast where he spewed more hatred and misinformation. He also seems to be under the impression that he is excused from consequences of his actions, as he stated, “I can say antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me.” This immediately outraged thousands, as people took to social media to stand against Kanye and Adidas. The world waited for Adidas to respond, but the response did not come until five days later. On October 25, 2022, Adidas released the following statement:

“adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.
