Kaylee Hottle, a rising deaf actress celebrated for her breakthrough performance as Jia in the global blockbusters “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” tragically passed away at the age of 18. Her death followed a single-vehicle accident that took place in Maryland on July 21.

The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner subsequently investigated the incident, concluding that the young actress succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries. The office officially ruled the manner of death an accident, clarifying the details surrounding a sudden loss that has deeply affected the entertainment community.

Tragic Vehicle Collision in Frederick County

First responders and deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:52 a.m. following reports of a crash located within the 11400 block of Windsor Road in Ijamsville, Maryland.

Law enforcement authorities determined that Hottle was one of two passengers riding in a 1995 Honda Accord. The vehicle, operated by a 19-year-old male resident of Frederick, veered off the right-hand side of the two-lane roadway and collided with a culvert.

Though Hottle was urgently rushed to a regional trauma center, she ultimately died from her severe injuries. The driver sustained injuries that officials described as non-life-threatening, whereas the second passenger was evaluated at the scene and declined further medical attention.

According to preliminary findings released by the sheriff’s office, excessive speed is suspected to have played a key role in the fatal crash, which continues to remain under active investigation.

Hottle’s father, Joshua Hottle, shared the heartbreaking news across social media, mentioning that his daughter’s heart stopped while emergency teams were transporting her to the medical facility.
