In the 2024 presidential election, Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump have each secured the necessary delegates to become the nominees of their respective parties. In spite of this, polling ahead of this primary showed that as many as seven in ten Americans didn't want to see another Biden vs. Trump race.

Looking to reach voters who've grown disaffected with our nation's politics is the organization known as No Labels. No Labels prides itself on promoting bipartisanship, centrism, and working across the aisle to accomplish policy goals.

As more Americans express annoyance with the two-party system, No Labels senses an opportunity to offer an alternate path. Recently, the political organization disclosed its plans to run a third-party ticket during this year's presidential election.

Here's what Americans should expect from No Labels

Joe Lieberman, an Independent and former US lawmaker from Connecticut, currently heads the group as its founding chair. During a sitdown with CNN, he announced No Labels' strategy for a committee that will assist with selecting a presidential candidate. 

Liberman also revealed the contender could be made public as soon as Thursday, March 21.  The No Labels founding chair went on to affirm the organization's commitment to placing "country over party" before stating the time to decide on a candidate has come.

Without revealing specific names, Liberman told CNN that any ticket it presents ahead of November will be bipartisan. After stressing that he feels most Americans don't want to choose between Trump and Biden, the No Labels leader then expressed the need for a viable alternative.

What to expect from a third party ticket

Americans who don't want to vote for Trump or Biden may very well turn to No Labels for recourse. Judging from the organization's mission, its third party ticket could comprise a blend of one Republican and one Democrat.

Other options for No Labels include running a ticket with two Independent candidates or with one Independent and one Republican/Democrat.

Months ago, Liberman stressed that Americans are tiring of both major political parties and seeking a change. Can No Labels successfully appeal to the electorate this year? Only time will tell.
