Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump’s audit into federal spending has unearthed troubling findings, including the alleged existence of a $375 billion slush fund. This massive sum, funneled through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has reportedly benefited key Democratic figures, including activist and politician Stacy Abrams.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin froze some award funds. On Tuesday he questioned why $7 Billion was awarded to a coalition of nonprofits.

Climate United says it has been shut out of a bank account holding the money since Feb. 18 and cannot access the funds it was awarded in August. The group says it has received no explanation for the freeze from either EPA or Citibank, which administers the funds.

“Climate United has sought information on why its funds are being frozen and has been stonewalled at every turn,” coalition attorney Adam Unikowsky of Jenner & Block wrote.

The distribution of some of these funds has come under scrutiny, with reports suggesting that John Podesta—a long-standing Democratic operative with deep ties to Hillary Clinton—was responsible for handling the money. Podesta was appointed in 2022 by President Joe Biden to oversee climate-related funding efforts, a decision now being heavily questioned.

Further complicating matters, Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has pointed to suspicious financial activity linked to former Vice President Kamala Harris.
