Do you ever find yourself falling down a rabbit hole of online forums at 2:00 AM, searching for the truth about ancient civilizations, unidentified aerial phenomena, or the chilling legends that haunt our own backyard? If the answer is yes, a new streaming destination has arrived to satisfy your insatiable curiosity.

On June 17, 2026, Hearst Networks officially expanded its digital streaming empire with the launch of MysteryX. This brand new subscription service is dedicated entirely to the strange, the unexplained, and the factual mysteries that continue to baffle scientists and historians alike. Available exclusively as an add-on channel for Prime Video subscribers, MysteryX is positioning itself as the ultimate home for those who believe that reality is far stranger than fiction.

A Deep Dive into the Unknown

MysteryX is not just another documentary channel. It has been meticulously curated to serve as a focused destination for enthusiasts of the paranormal and the unexplained. The service brings together a premium collection of factual programming that spans a vast spectrum of intriguing topics. Whether you are obsessed with UFO encounters and scientific anomalies, or you prefer deep dives into lost worlds, cryptids, and the secrets buried beneath ancient sands, this platform promises a home for every brand of wonder.

At launch, the library is already packed with compelling series designed to hook viewers from the very first episode.

One of the standout titles is Weird Britain, which features investigator Andy McGrath as he journeys across the United Kingdom. He digs into the most legendary tales, paranormal encounters, and unsolved mysteries that have shaped the British landscape for centuries. If you are interested in the archaeology of mystery, Secrets in the Sand offers a fascinating look at lost cities and remarkable discoveries hidden beneath the world’s most desolate deserts. Finally, for those who spend their nights scanning the stars, Close Encounters provides an immersive exploration of the most credible and unexplained UFO sightings documented in recent history.

Hearst Networks has confirmed that the library will not remain static. Subscribers can expect a steady stream of additional series and special features to be added throughout the coming year, ensuring the mystery never runs dry.

Curiosity as a Business Strategy

The launch of MysteryX is a strategic move for Hearst Networks. It complements their existing, highly successful streaming offerings on the Prime Video platform, such as HISTORY Play and Crime+Investigation. By creating a dedicated space for mystery, Hearst is betting on the fact that modern audiences crave niche, high-quality content that speaks directly to their specific passions.

Julie Mitchelmore, the Vice President of Product and Commercial Partnerships at Hearst Networks, believes this launch arrives at the perfect time. She notes that audiences have a lasting fascination with stories that question what we think we know. From ancient enigmas that defy logic to modern investigations that challenge conventional scientific thinking, people are constantly looking for answers. Mitchelmore explains that MysteryX aims to bring that curiosity into one dedicated destination, providing fans of the unknown a focused and accessible way to explore premium, mystery-led factual programming.
