Shah, aged 56, was killed when a cable holding up an iron cage snapped during a company-wide celebration. He was accompanied by Vistex president Raju Datla, who remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The accident occurred as the two executives were being lowered in the iron cage, waving to their staff amidst the celebration. Tragically, one of the wires attached to the cage snapped, causing a rapid descent of more than 15 feet onto the concrete dais.
