By the time he was identified as a suspect, Lanoue was already a registered sex offender in Nevada due to three convictions in 1998.
Lanoue’s Confession
During a July 2022 interview, Lanoue admitted to picking up Pham while she was walking to school but claimed he did not “remember killing her.” Prosecutors stated that he “acknowledged that he may have blocked it out of his memory to protect himself.” Additionally, Lanoue admitted to “having a history of sexually assaulting young girls.”
With his conviction, Lanoue will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars, bringing long-awaited justice for Anne Pham and her family.
