Under former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh had approved plans to acquire 10 Airbus aircraft. However, no final contract materialized before her government fell during the 2024 mass uprising. The interim administration has since recalibrated its approach, tilting toward Boeing.

Trade Pressures Shape Aviation Decisions

The incoming aircraft will be delivered in phases, though detailed timelines and financing structures remain under wraps. Boeing has yet to issue an official comment.
