The New York Times/Sienna also discovered that Biden’s support is strongest with voters of color, older people, and women. The former president, on the other hand, fairs best with men, voters lacking higher education, and Americans between the ages of 49 and 64.
With Independent voters, Biden also remains 5% behind Trump, per this latest survey. Independents, in recent years, have been widely viewed as a paramount voting bloc with the power to swing elections in one direction or the other.
An interesting seven months ahead
Between now and November, both presidential candidates will inevitably pull out all the stops to win another term in the Oval Office. Biden, as of late, has been focusing on student loan forgiveness and attempting to win over GOP primary voters who declined to back Trump.
The former president, meanwhile, is moderating his views on abortion and warning that an apocalyptic future awaits America if Biden stays in office.
