Blue Cross LGBTQ Bias Suit : A Costly Battle for Justice

The plaintiff, Kelsey Murphy, initiated this legal battle against Blue Cross in May 2022, alleging that she was forced to bear the brunt of a $19,000 expense for a successful pregnancy out of her own pocket due to Blue Cross’ policy, which denied her fertility treatments—a burden that heterosexual couples would not have to endure.

As of now, neither Blue Cross nor Murphy’s representatives have provided comments on this latest development in the lawsuit.
