U.K. Fintech Iwoca in Talks for $1.34 Billion Sale
U.K.-based fintech lender Iwoca, short for “instant working capital,” is also exploring a sale that could value the company at $1.34 billion. Backed by investors including CommerzVentures and Augmentum Fintech PLC, Iwoca has been consulting advisers on a possible transaction slated for early next year. Banks and payment firms are expected to be among the interested buyers, though the company has not ruled out pursuing an initial public offering.
TPG Eyes Southeast Asia Education Market
Private equity giant TPG is reportedly preparing to solicit bids for a stake in XCL Education, a Singapore-based K-12 school operator, with potential valuation up to $2 billion. Preliminary bids are expected to be sought in late December, with a transaction aimed for completion before the end of 2026. XCL Education serves around 20,000 students across Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
