From Satire to Spacecrafts: When Worlds Collided
Over time, SpaceX’s rapid expansion in Boca Chica transformed the once-isolated area into a hub of heavy construction. The company’s workers and contractors allegedly entered the Cards Against Humanity parcel, filling it with gravel, pipes, vehicles, and massive generators, effectively converting it into part of SpaceX’s operations.
In a tongue-in-cheek move, Cards Against Humanity even launched a website about the lawsuit, encouraging its supporters to sign up for a share of potential proceeds — or, humorously, to “accept Twitter.com as compensation.”
Settlement Brings the Saga to a Close
Attorneys for both sides — Kenneth E. McKay for Cards Against Humanity and Timothy C. Shelby and Edward B. Goolsby of Ahmad Zavitsanos & Mensing for SpaceX — did not respond to requests for comment.
While details of the settlement remain confidential, the conclusion of this offbeat legal battle marks the end of one of the most bizarre intersections of comedy, corporate power, and cosmic ambition — a clash between a card game built on satire and a space company built on reaching the stars.
