This stood as the first in a series of posts from CenterPoint, updating Houstonians about ongoing work to restore power. According to their reports, the company fixed thousands of poles and cleaned up tree damage that adversely impacted electricity lines. This came before CenterPoint’s professed commitment to provide “estimated restoration dates” for Greater Houston residents who are still waiting.

Continuing further, CenterPoint Energy shared the following developments, alongside a video update from a line worker in Kingwood:

  • A new mobile generation unit was added to one of Humble’s water treatment facilities
  • Equipment replacements and repairs are underway in Baytown

Just a few hours ago, CenterPoint provided yet another briefing. This time, the electric company stated 85% of its customers should see their power restored by the end of this weekend.
