California: From Los Angeles Hesperia to Moreno Valley

While the Post Fire commands top priority, California firefighters are engaged in a multi-front war against wildfires. In a separate incident, the “Max Fire” ravaged a residential area in Lancaster, destroying several buildings across 500 acres before being extinguished.

San Bernardino County also grapples with the “Hesperia Fire,” which has scorched over 1,000 acres and is only 30% contained as of Monday. The fire erupted near Chase Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

Another blaze erupted near the intersection of Gilman Springs Road and Alessandro Boulevard, consuming 867 acres and reaching 20% containment by Sunday evening.

Evacuations

Evacuation orders remain in effect for areas west of Interstate 5 between Pyramid Lake and Gorman, according to CAL Fire.

With strong winds exceeding 50 mph expected throughout the day, officials have issued a warning for residents in neighboring areas, including Castaic, to prepare for potential evacuations.
