The court’s decision stems from President Joe Biden’s proclamation in January 2021, terminating the Trump-era national emergency at the southern border and halting the construction of the border wall. 

This move effectively put on hold the allocation of funds designated for border wall construction in fiscal years 2020 and 2021, pending a comprehensive review of resources.
