In a statement shared through her attorney, Natalie G. Figgers, Janice addressed the allegations, stating that Diddy has been unfairly portrayed in the public eye. "It is painful to watch my son go through this,” she explained. “He is not perfect, but he is not the monster they’ve painted him to be. Everyone deserves their day in court, and that includes Sean."

Public Scrutiny and Legal Woes

Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a settlement out of court last year after accusing him of abuse and misbehavior, which sparked legal issues. After that, several further accusations came to light, which led to Diddy's arrest and charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. While his legal team works to secure his release before trial, he is presently being held without access to bail.

In her statement, Janice acknowledged that while her son may have made mistakes, these do not equate to the damning accusations he now faces. "Sometimes, the truth and lies become so closely intertwined that it’s hard to separate them,” she said, reflecting on the difficulty of navigating a public scandal. She believes that the settlement with Cassie created a domino effect, triggering the flood of new allegations.

Defending Her Son

Janice's statement mirrored the emotions of a distressed mother. She insisted that her son be allowed to defend himself in court before being found guilty, stressing that the media trial is not the same as real justice. It hurts to see how everyone laughs at Sean and ignores him without considering his point of view, she said.

Diddy’s next court date is set for October, and his legal team continues to battle for his release. Janice remains firm in her belief that her son will be vindicated, stating, “My son deserves the opportunity to speak his truth, and I pray I am here to witness it.”
